To enable quick entry of data from data providers, or comparison of external databases with internally stored data (for example quotations), Webfolio has a bulk input and comparison facility called Synchro. Webfolio can load data from most of the main hedge fund data providers.

The Synchro function reads structured files from a data provider using pre-defined templates (model) to parse the data. The data provides identified for your installation of Webfolio appear in a drop-down list as do the valid file types for that data provider. Selecting a file from the list of available files in the drop down list from the data provider server directory will populate the model field automatically. A browse function is available to select the file from a different directory. |
